My life is like a desert spread
With endless thirsty days ahead
The land is parched the river dry
The Sun a burning ember in the sky
Here no cloud shall ever fly,
for the wind blows so hot & dry.
Nothing blossoms but spiny cacti
Yet the cuckoo,
under the sizzling Sun,
with her soulful song,
only makes me sigh !!!
