Sorry Movie Maniacs
“बबलू ढूंढने से नहीं किस्मत से मिलता है”
When the punchline of a lead protagonist in a movie is this, you cannot expect a movie to be anything else other than a dumpster fire.
Heropanti 2 is a movie that should not have been made in a world governed by common sense. But as the old adage goes, common sense is not so common.
This is proven perfectly well by the makers of this movie.
Plot?
Heropanti 2 is a movie about is cyber warrior played by the Stone man of Bollywood Tiger Shroff. The basic plot involves a single man saving the economic wealth of the entire country of India, from a master cyber criminal. If that is a plot, I am better off homeless.
Story… was it there?
There is hardly any story to write about in this movie. To be fair this is just a documentary about action choreography. A few tired gags and pedestrian humour has been strewn around, like plastic on Juhu beach. The action sequences are not original, and are copied from a number of Hollywood movies. The dialogues are campy, and are written by a 5 year old.
The Script… well I will come to that when somebody finds it.
Acting
When the lead of the movie has nothing else to show, except a stone face and stony abs, what else can you expect. Even seasoned actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui have made a caricature of themselves. Nawazuddin’s performance can at best be described as the Sarojini market version of Jared Leto’s Joker.
Amrita Singh has perfected that irritating, over the top, and loud mouthed mother act. Tara Sutaria compliments Tiger with an expressionless performance and the two make a lovely pair.
Music
No way am I going to listen to whistle baja 2.0, not even for A.R.Rahman
Action and VFX
This movie is just a documentary on action choreography, and even that is not well made. The fight sequences are unoriginal and downright ludicrous. With what we have seen in Heropanti and Baaghi series so far, all that is left for Tiger to do is fight an army of aliens. Maybe Independence day 3 will make that vision come true.
Final Verdict
Overall, making Heropanti 2 is a national level crime. It also shows that nepotism does exist in Bollywood. While on one hand we are getting cinematic experience is like RRR and KGF, a film like heropanti 2 feels like an insult to the developing tastes of Indian movie fans.
We aren’t kids anymore is a wrong statement for this movie. Even kids don’t enjoy this kinda junk. You have to be properly retarded to an extreme degree for enjoying this kinda filth.
